I have to say that the original poster is obviously embellishing matters somewhat – it was NOT George who outed these girls – it was the local press. If George DID as she says he did (mailed a copy of the guide to the local press – and it seems that he as admitted to this) then indeed, yes, he perhaps did, in no small part, contribute to matters.
To that end, it perhaps should serve as a warning.
George’s “book” is from a bygone age; traditional media has been replaced by the Internet. He does now have a website where his information is disseminated too – but he is still better known for his book. His brand is no longer in the ascendancy and if this is true then it would seem that he feels the need to seek traditional media promotion. That is unlikely to lead to a happy ending!
